About Power Play

Our biggest range by far is toys and play — around 585 items, from RC vehicles and speedboats to educational sets and show pieces. It surprises people who expect a shop our size to be electronics-only.

Alongside that we carry mobile accessories, gadgets and wearables, lighting and electrical items, kitchen and home appliances, party supplies, baby gear and everyday odds and ends. Around 1,800 products in total across 14 categories.

We stock the shelf, not a warehouse. That is why we can tell you honestly whether something is on the counter today, and why we would rather say no than ship you something that fails next week.

The website shows the same prices as the shop. If you find a difference, we have made a mistake and we will fix it.

Regulars were phoning us to check a price before travelling across town. That is a bad use of everyone's time, so we put the catalogue online.

Buying online does not replace visiting. Plenty of our best customers still come in, especially for toys, because a child will not settle for a photo.

We are rebuilding our back office so the shop counter and this website share the same inventory, rather than being two systems that drift apart. That work is not finished yet, and until it is, stock on this site is confirmed when we take your order.
